Sample Source

Awhile ago I had read about sample-source (forgive me but this was before I started blogging and before I had joined blogger or bloglovin, so I really have no idea whose blog it was that I read about it on....I feel terrible for not giving whoever it was recognition though!) and signed up to receive their Free Spring Sample pack.

I totally forgot about it...and then it arrived in the mail this week! This is what I received:

Harvest Crunch Granola Bar in Cinnamon Apple: This was the first to go. It was tasty, though I am not a huge fan of apple flavour, nor am I a fan of granola bars and useless carbs/sugar (says the girl who could easily eat a loaf of bread by itself haha). So I will not be purchasing these in the future....

Sensodyne Toothbrush: Okay, normally I am not one to get excited about toothbrushes...but seriously, I am in love with this one!! The head/brush is extremely tiny/thin and since I have a tiny mouth it can reach the back of my molars perfectly without jamming up against my cheek or scratching the roof of my mouth. So if any of you have small mouths or have trouble reaching the back of your mouth whilst brushing, I highly recommend finding one of these! I am amazed.

John Frieda Full Repair Shampoo & Conditioner: I love John Frieda products. I use their shampoos and conditioners and treatments and serums regularly. For some reason though these ones left my hair super greasy-feeling - and I normally have quite dry hair! I really was not a fan. While I don't want dry hair, I want something that fixes that without going to the other extreme! So while I will continue to purchase John Frieda hair care, I likely will not be trying out these particular ones ("full repair").

Schick Hydro-Silk Razor: This is the one product I haven't actually tried yet. I will let you know if it is amazing or terrible, but suspect it will be much like most Razors. I have a Venus Razor with a fresh head, so won't be trying this out for a while. However, this also came with a coupon for 5$ off replacement-heads, so I will definitely be trying this and using that. Also now that I have a Schick and a Venus I can alternate between them based on whichever replacement heads are on sale at the moment :)

If you are interested in sample-source, they give out sample-packs in the Spring and Fall (I think) - so the next one will not be for a while - but the website is Sample Source

    1. Yea unfortunately the spring ones sold out back in March I believe but you should get a notification now for the Fall! You can pick if you don't want to receive certain samples, but otherwise you just get the selection of samples they have available.

  2. Great samples!! I keep getting there too late! They always send an email when I'm at work and since I don't check my email at all while I'm there, by the time I get home, all the sample packs are sold out! I've been on a waitlist since last Fall...

    1. Aw :( That happens with me a lot too! (for example I just missed the P&G Beauty one because I was at school). I just got lucky with this one though! (although I think other people got jergens tanning lotion but that sample was sold out by the time I got to my computer). Hopefully you have better luck with the next one!

  5. Definitely going to check this out.. hope you get credit if I sign up through your link? The razor is my favourite part since I HATE how expensive refills for razors are.. seriously I just find the price to be stupid and it makes me mad when I have to buy new heads for my venus razor! End of mini rant :)

    1. It's not a credit site like that or anything, it's just a regular link, but I wanted to share!

And yes it is insane how expensive those silly little replacements are! Up to 30$ for a package of 8 :O

  6. Sample source sounds like a very good concept for people to be able to try out new brands and products! I have heard so many good things about John Freida products, how I wish I can get it where I live.
